Volunteers, we’re glad you’re here! VBS can’t happen without you. Take a moment to peruse the sites. We’ve included helpful sample lessons, videos, and more so that you can feel confident about your VBS preparation.
Gather ‘Round Opening/Closing
At Barnyard Roundup, everyone starts and ends the day gathered ‘round the cross for God’s Word, Good Times tunes, mission moments, and video skits. Download our sample Gather ‘Round Opening/Closing Guide to get an idea of how you can begin and end each day of your VBS.
Storytelling scripts involve every child to make storytelling memorable, engaging, active, and fun! Plus, new this year—kids get their imaginations moving with Science in the Sheep Pen. Though this site is called Storytelling, these are not mere stories—you’re sharing the true Word of God.
Help children write Bible words on their hearts as they learn how God answers prayers and provides all we need, now and in eternity. At Green Pastures Bible Challenge, children learn Psalm 23 by heart by solving Bible codes and singing memory-verse songs.
Our unique, multilevel crafts emphasize Bible story takeaway points and give kids a fun, hands-on way to keep exploring God’s Word! The directions in the Udderly Cool Crafts Leader Guide have scripts for leaders to use in teaching the Bible stories and theme.
It’s important to meet the learning styles of students—even the youngest ones. That’s why our age-appropriate lessons, games, and activities give the youngest kids engaging new ways to learn that Jesus cares for us, provides for us, and leads us—now and forever, no matter what!
Youth and adults can have a farm-tastic time too at Barnyard Roundup with P23: Youth and Adult Bible Study. Use this fully reproducible and downloadable Bible study to prepare volunteers in advance for the stories they will teach, use it as a Sunday School series, or offer adults a VBS class.
