As Christian educators and children’s ministry volunteers, we’re committed to publishing a VBS with Purpose. We know the importance of outreach through VBS. We believe that every child should hear about Jesus every day and every way—because after the craft glue dries and the snacks are just crumbs, the real purpose of VBS is that children leave knowing their need for Jesus as their Savior.
God Himself is present in His Word and He doesn’t need much help speaking to the hearts of kids. That’s why every part of VBS from CPH—from the crafts to the lessons to the songs—is grounded in God’s Word and points to Jesus. Realistic but contemporary themes provide a “bridge” for kids to connect to the people and life in Bible times, reinforcing that the Bible is real and true and trustworthy.
VBS provides an amazing opportunity for your church to be a witness and show mercy to your neighbors and community. It’s the start of new relationships and the beginning of faith formation in children, encouraging life together as new families are embraced in your church. This may be the only time some children hear the Gospel so invite children to VBS and encourage them to claim the church as their own.
